Our client produces designs and engineers connected products for automakers consumers and enterprises worldwide including connected car systems; audio and visual products enterprise automation; and connected services.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success with hands-on execution in managing and controlling the production department to meet plant business needs. Work closely with another department colleague for planning urgent material tracking OTD product quality control safety troubleshooting and employee development. This position is responsible for production line management leading the production team to achieve department targets. The total headcount responsibility for this role is expected to be 1000 employees.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Being responsible for on-time delivery product quality and production cost efficiency to meet business objectives and achieve the targets of annual budget and production KPIs.
- Cooperating with support team to optimize the manufacturing process by improving personal skills equipment tools and flow layout to approach the best quality & efficiency. Be responsible for continuous improvement of the production line by eliminating waste.
- Analyzing staffing and production goals making reasonable staffing suggestions and proposing workshop personnel development and retention plans.
- Organizing daily production meetings and following up on improvement action plans. Coordinating with others to fix the issue during production.
- Maintaining good labour relations with employees following contract plant rules and regulations.
- Monitoring the implementation of EHS police in the production process making sure a safe environment to achieve operation. Maintaining proper 5S standards in production areas.
- Handling any other jobs assigned by superior leaders.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or Masters in MBA Business Engineering Mechanical Management etc.
- 10 years related experience in Automotive Production Management area with SMT production experience with a focus on automotive product delivery and a track record of improving production operation and reducing costs.
- Systems thinking/mindset including the ability to create an understanding of a larger system by examining linkages and interactions between components.
- Demonstrate ability to provide an inclusive workplace that fosters the development of others.
- Fluent in English in both written and oral communication.
- Proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can effectively work with all levels of a global matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently take initiative and perform effectively in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated leadership problem-solving facilitation presentation skills and analytical skills.
- Familiar with Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Can work overtime when business is necessary.
- Complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
