Requirements
The Company:
A port operator is expanding the team and is looking for System Admin Engineers.
The Role:
You will be responsible for the following as a System Admin Engineer:
- Configure and maintain the networked computer system including hardware system software and applications.
- Ensure data is stored securely and backed up regularly.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware software networking and system issues when they arise.
- Install and configure software hardware and networks.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
- Upgrade install and configure application software and computer hardware.
- Troubleshoot and provide technical support.
- Create and manage system permissions.
- Use ServiceNow to keep track of tasks.
Requirements
- Familiar with:
-Operating Systems such as Solaris Linux and Windows Servers.
- Hypervisor such as VMware Vxrail Nutanix Microsoft.
- Middleware such as OpenSSL & Apache
- Other software components such as Microsofts IBM WebSphere and CA Siteminder.
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
- Willing to travel to various data centres when required.
- Provide support after office hours.
