Job Description

OVERVIEW:
The SAP APAC COE Plan-to-Produce (PTP) and Quality Management (QM) lead position will require highly qualified knowledge & experiences of designing and implementing SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) processes within a global manufacturing organization.
This position will work closely with the Gates GPOs (Global Process Owners) Regional Process Owners (RPOs) Regional SAP Teams and Gates Planning Manufacturing Product Data Management and Quality Management site SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to drive to a standard Global PTP and QM template across Gates Corporation. They will participate in the design and building of these Global policies procedures and processes master data roles definition and change management for the Global Leading Practice Template (GLPT) in an SAP S/4HANA environment.
This position will require strong consulting skills complex solution design business knowledge and SAP S/4HANA solution expertise to effectively integrate an SAP-enabled GLPT into the Gates business environment to achieve desired business results.
This role needs both core SAP PP and QM knowledge and experience - but also in-depth business process knowledge - and have experience of building and driving standard processes adoption through SAP implementation and roll-out projects.
The APAC geographical scope includes China Thailand Australia India Japan and Korea.
Bilingual communication skills - English and Mandarin - are a must.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The SAP PTP/QM Lead specific responsibilities will fall into 3 primary areas:
GLPT Design Build and Maintenance
Working closely with the Manufacturing Planning and Product Data Management GPOs (Global Process Owners); EMEA SMEs; and Regional SAP teams in the design and build of GLPT. Including but not limited to the following PTP Processes:
  • SAP Discrete Manufacturing
  • SAP Planning & Scheduling(inc SAP Long Term Planning MPS and MRP)
  • SAP Kanban
  • SAP Production Processes (Assemble-to-Order Make-to-Order and Make-to-Stock)
  • SAP Batch management
  • Serial Number Management
  • SAP Planning Processes and System Integration
  • SAP Quality Management
  • SAP Material Management - optional but preferred.
  • Master Data Maintenance (Materials BOMs Work Center and Routings)
  • Engineering Processes (PDM DMS ECR/ECO/ECN)
  • Knowledge of MVP / Lean / Six Sigma
  • Knowledge of Advance Planning Systems (SAP IBP or other)
  • Knowledge of MES System Integration with SAP
  • Knowledge of MM MM integration and WM-PP Interface
System and Process Governance
  • Creating enforcing and following standards and procedures defined by the GPOs and Regional SAP Teams to provide governance to new full-cycle SAP roll-out projects enhancement projects and helpdesk tickets to ensure process data reports and methodology compliance.
  • Partner with other Regional PTP teams GPOs SMEs and regional financial and IT organizations to both maintain and drive the integrity of the GLPT.
GLPT deployments
  • Lead on-site manufacturing functional teams (Internal SAP Team 3rd party consultants Gates IT and Gates internal business) in the implementation of the Gates GLPT across the EMEA sites plants and business locations.
  • Manage mixed team of internal IT business resources and consulting partner resources responsible for delivering GLPT and on-going support.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
  • This position will require extensive hands-on SAP PP knowledge and experience in a Global Enterprise-wide SAP system (S/4HANA preferred).
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant technical or business discipline or comparable business experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience of working in a Global SAP Organization.
  • Minimum 6 full-cycle SAP Go Live projects in multicultural and multinational manufacturing plants. Must have extensive hands-on experiences in project methodologies & implementation.
  • Must have experience in manufacturing companies specifically in process and discrete manufacturing industries including integration with Sales Operations Finance and Supply Chain.
  • Must have experience in managing 3rd-party consultants across multiple sites & countries on an operational level.
  • Must have extensive hands-on experiences in project methodologies & implementation.
  • Must be willing and capable of learning new skills technology and knowledge related to job functions.
  • This position requires prior experiences in operating in complex global IT organizational structures.
  • Participated in multiple multinational/multicultural Go-Live projects in manufacturing plants and have fulfilled different roles through years of experience with hands-on process definition/mapping (including country specifics) systems configuration data migration organizational change management project methodology compliance integration work plan development team/project leadership and formation/support of GPOs.
  • Prior team building and management experience highly desirable.
  • Experience with ancillary Operation systems such as MES Loftware NiceLabel etc is desirable.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • The work generally consists of operating IT equipment and systems by use of computers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • This position may require work outside of normal business hours. Weekend work will be required on an occasional basis to match travel schedules.
  • This position requires the ability to travel up to 50% of work time.
