Job Description
Perform applied materials research into new metallic materials for emerging product design needs Develop test plans in collaboration with material engineers and product design teams to drive material selection design feasibility and performance of new partsSupport failure analysis material characterization and material modeling activities across all product linesDocument and present results to alloy team material suppliers product design teams and reliability engineering
- Enrolled in Bachelors/Masters/PhD studies in Material Science Mechanical engineering or related field
- Knowledge of physical metallurgy and basic design principles
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Laboratory experience with metal alloys and structure-property relationships including design of experiments and data analysis
- Familiarity with computational thermodynamics and materials design including machine learning approaches
- Ability to work in fast paced team-based environment
- Interest in Apple and materials product design as a career after graduation
