Job Description
This role offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of Manulifes Asia General Account Investments team contributing to the companys mission by supporting the growth of its investment portfolio. As a Fixed Income and Derivatives Trader you will play a key role in executing trades monitoring risk exposures and developing innovative financial instruments to enhance Manulifes investment and risk management capabilities. This position provides a dynamic environment where you can make real-time business decisions collaborate with various internal stakeholders and directly impact the companys success.
Position Responsibilities:
- Execute fixed income and derivatives trades for Asia General Account Investments.
- Monitor and rebalance the Variable Annuity Hedging (VAH) program.
- Manage counterparty onboarding and assess broker capabilities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address investment and risk management challenges.
- Analyze market trends and provide market intelligence to support business objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in a financial services environment.
- University degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. engineering math science economics or finance).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with derivatives products.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and develop proactive solutions.
- Programming ability.
- Project management experience.
