Job Description
Main objectives/context:
Infrastructure DBA responsible for operational support of CWT Oracle Databases
This position will be as part of an L2 DBA team with responsibilities including:
- Oracle database installation configuration maintenance
- Incident response (24x7 shift pattern)
- Troubleshooting infrastructure issues
- Participate in root cause analysis
- Application change/service request handling
- Pro-Active database monitoring
- Producing infrastructure documentation/Standard Operating Procedures
- Read write and test complex SQL statements
- Must have clear verbal and written communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical personnel in different units
- Must have good interpersonal skills
- 3 years plus in an Oracle Database Administration role
- Preference for degree likely IT or Engineering
- IT Industry recognized qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Essential Skills:
- Oracle 11g Database Administration (Standalone and RAC)
- Oracle Enterprise Manager
- RMAN
- Unix scripting
Desirable Skills:
- Oracle 12c Database Administration
- Oracle Exadata (X3 X4)
- Oracle Enterprise Linux
- PL/SQL

- ITIL
