Job Summary
You will focus on ensuring new product designs are manufacturable high-quality and cost-effective. The key responsibilities include:- Early engagement with PD about new project development materials choosing and risk assessment.- Painting fixture design DFM approval buy off vendors process. Yield rate improvement to meet ramp target. Optimizing the capacity and reduce the material usage.- Co-work with x-function team to fix the decorations reliability issue. Lead the coating DOEs.- Drive the diversity coating technology development to meet customize ID requirement and reliability spec.- FA skills to figure out the failure mechanism.- Oversea coating line transfers buy off.
- Academical background in Chemistry Engineering Mechanical Engineering or relevant fields.
- Good verbal communication and e-mail / report written skills in English
- Minimum 5 years experience in the Plastic / Metal coating process engineering
- Able to frequently travel out to on site handle the suppliers both in China domestic and overseas.
- Water borne paint application experience.
- Supplier management experience in paint manufacturing or related industry.
- Knowledges of decoration material processes design for manufacturing and Chemical composition analysis.
- Experience in managing sophisticated development programs with overseas vendors (Asia).
- Strong collaboration ability with multiple teams like Product Design ID Procurement PM Quality and Tooling etc.
