The Opportunity Alliance (TOA) is a multi-service comprehensive high impact organization providing 46 integrated community based and clinical programs serving more than 20000 people annually throughout the state of Maine. We work with people to help them build better lives by providing leadership advocacy and support to address their needs as individuals as families and as part of a greater community. TOA focuses on the most pressing issues community members are facing right now including poverty homelessness mental difficulties substance abuse and domestic violence through a wide variety of practices and community resources.

What is your purpose today
This role is responsible for managing the processes that involve health and welfare benefits leaves injuries safety and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-related cases for the agency. The person filling the role develops and executes processes to ensure all of these circumstances are handled well and leaders of programs are educated to understand the nuances of these cases for adequate risk management. This individual will also serve as a lead thought partner to center equity diversity and inclusion in every facet of the agency Human Resources function.
Daily tasks include but are not limited to:
This role will report to the Vice President of Human Resources and work collaboratively with operations finance and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment on key initiatives philosophy and approach.
Schedule: This position is a 40 hours/week hourly position
Location: South Portland ME
Potential to become a hybrid position; but this role will start with the expectation to be onsite in the office.
