Role Overview:
Administrative Care Coordinators are primarily responsible for accomplishing administrative tasks for the mental-health outpatient care team. Various tasks include but are not limited to discharging client charts in accordance with pre-established criteria assisting clients to resolve issues with their Medicaid coverage coordinating with other Valley Cities care team members and external providers and engaging clients in the Care Coordination project with HealthPoint. These tasks are subject to change dependent on the needs of the agency. Administrative Care Coordinators provide in-direct or telephonic services
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficient use and interpretation of relevant workflows.
- Use of reports for effective caseload management and adherence to workflow expectations.
- Use of various external platforms.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of Provider One and Medicaid Apple Health eligibility including how to discuss this with clients.
- Coordinate client care with the clients ongoing care team at VC and externally.
- Provide welcoming trauma informed services with respect for cultural diversity.
- Coordinate language interpreter services as needed.
- Maintain client privacy and confidentiality.
- Work independently and as a team to complete administrative duties assigned.
What Were Looking For:
Education:
- BA Degree in Behavioral Sciences and one year post full-time equivalent clinical experience.
Experience:
- Data entry
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of professionals and a diverse client population with a strength-based approach.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Understanding of Medicaid and Medicare benefit packages
- Ability to effectively utilize multiple electronic platforms
- Understanding of Trauma Informed Care principles and service provision
- Good communication skills teamwork and attitude
Additional Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration upon hire
- Ability to work independently
- Reliable transportation
- Pass required background checks
