Job Description
JOB TITLE: Procurement Officer
JOB LOCATION:Lagos
JOB DETAILS;
ADVERTISEMENT
- Identify evaluate and select reliable suppliers/vendors based on factors such as price quality and delivery time.
- Collaborate with department to understand their procurement requirements and develop procurement plans and strategies.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable contracts including pricing payment terms and delivery schedules.
- Generate purchase orders review purchase requisitions for accuracy and ensure timely processing of orders.
- Monitor contract performance resolve disputes and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with inventory management teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
- Ensure that purchased goods and services meet quality standards and specifications.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings through process improvements supplier consolidation or negotiation tactics.
- Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks such as supply chain disruptions price fluctuations and supplier reliability issues.
Requirements
- HND/BSc in Purchasing or related field
- 2 years experience in procurement
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
