Job Summary

Description

As a Senior Cloud Engineer you will:

Design develop and deploy cloud-native applications and services using Java and modern AI-assisted development tools.

Lead the creation of scalable secure and performant solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects product managers and customer stakeholders to define technical solutions aligned with business goals.

Integrate AI models and APIs into enterprise cloud applications enhancing automation decision-making and user experiences.

Conduct code reviews provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.

Support cloud migration projects including re-platforming and re-architecting legacy workloads to OCI.

Optimize cloud resource usage focusing on performance cost-efficiency and operational excellence.

Participate in customer workshops technical deep dives and proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives.

Stay updated on emerging technologies in Java AI and Cloud Engineering contributing to internal knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

5 years of hands-on software development experience with Java (Java SE or EE).

Strong understanding of object-oriented design patterns and best practices.

Experience with AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot Oracle Code Assist or equivalent LLM-based coding platforms).

Solid experience with cloud computing platforms preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) AWS Azure or GCP.

Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins GitLab Terraform etc.).

Working knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes).

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML models in production environments.

Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

Experience with Oracle Cloud services such as Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE) Oracle Functions and Oracle AI Services.

Familiarity with REST APIs GraphQL or gRPC.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications (Associate or Professional level) are a plus.
