The Position:

The Manager Safety & Wellness plays a vital role in shaping and advancing Robinsons culture of safety wellness and compliance across its locations. Reporting to the Vice President People this role is responsible for developing and leading workplace health safety and wellness programs that meet provincial standards while driving innovative approaches to injury prevention and employee well-being. With a blend of strategic oversight and hands-on involvement the Manager will serve as a trusted advisor trainer and collaborator ensuring safe practices supporting wellness initiatives and engaging teams across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a comprehensive cohesive and impactful safety and wellness culture.
- Be the safety expert providing accurate and reliable health and safety advice and support to our people leaders.
- Understand required provincial legislation and ensure safety compliance throughout the company.
- Research and recommend creative and innovative approaches to accident/injury prevention education and overall safety culture.
- Identify and implement new or modified safety practices including policies procedures hazard analysis and training.
- Collaborate with HR training facilities and operations to improve safety practices and culture.
- Oversee local/branch workplace health & safety committees and audit programs in collaboration with people leaders and HR Business Partners facilitate return to work and/or modified duties programs.
Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in a management related position.
- Post-Secondary Education in Business Commerce Human Resources or Safety preferred.
- CRSP designation is considered a strong asset.
- Experience developing and implementing safety programs across multiple locations.
- Demonstrated experience conducting analysis formulating recommendations and facilitating implementation.
- Effective communicator including the ability to prepare reports deliver presentations and conduct training.
