What Youll Do:
As the Water Jet Operator you will operate various machines following customer orders and scheduling to ensure quality and customer standards are met.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
- Reviews customer orders and adjusts schedule as needed to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on-time.
- Operates machines to cut high-quality precision parts and tooling from a variety of materials to ensure components meet exact specifications and production standards.
- Lifts and positions panels onto the Water Jet bed accurately and safely to maintain workflow efficiency and prevent material damage.
- Performs regular and preventative maintenance on the waterjet including power-up operation checks cleanup and pressure gauge monitoring to minimize downtime and extend machine lifespan.
- Utilizes measurement tools such as calipers micrometers and digital systems to verify part accuracy ensuring all components remain within specification through automated quality checks.
- Presents quality checked product to assembly and packaging to be finished.
- Supports additional production tasks as required by the role to maintain flexibility and meet shifting operational needs.
Position Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience: 2 years of Machine Operator experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Certifications: Lean Six Sigma and/or Quality certifications would be a plus.
- Functional Skills: Detail-oriented with strong accuracy planning coordination and organizational skills; experienced in tracking schedules and timelines to meet deadlines; ability to read and interpret blueprints design documents and written/verbal directions; ability to identify that products meet quality and productivity standards; ability to focus on details and guarantee the product is high quality.
- Technology Skills: Solid aptitude with computers. Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Word and Excel is a plus.
- Communication Skills:Solid written & verbal communication skills ability to present information to others.

Other Important Information:
Pay/Salary: Hourly position; based on proven expertise.

Reports To: Production Manager
Core Hours: 6:30 am 3:00 pm (includes a 30 min. lunch)
Typical Work Week: M-F; occasional Saturday morning work where required; 40-45 hours a week on average OT available

Work Environment: Temperature controlled production environment; ability to work in various positions for long periods including standing sitting and walking.
