Job Description

Description

We are looking for an Assistant General Manager to join our team at Dangote Cement Plc.

As the Assistant General Manager (Power Plant) your role will be critical to ensuring the successful operation and maintenance of our Power Plant infrastructure. On a day-to-day basis you will work closely with cross-functional teams providing guidance and support as needed. You will also have the opportunity to drive change identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions that align with our business objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of Power Plant operations including maintenance safety reliability and efficiency.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams providing guidance training and support as needed.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements that enhance quality safety and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers suppliers regulators and other stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets schedules and other project-related activities ensuring timely and efficient delivery of quality services.
  • Prepare and present reports on Power Plant operations including performance metrics financial data and other key indicators.


Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in Gas Turbine based power plants Instrumentation maintenance.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Power Plant disciplines including thermal mechanical and electrical.
  • Experience managing complex projects and teams including the ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and drive results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement effective data-driven solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Flexibility adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
