MAINLAND AND GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT SECTION

At the HKBU School of Business we value people who are curious and passionate and we reward both collaboration and appointeewill play a key role in developing and executing the internationalisation academic partnership-building and student integration plan of the School.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Mainland and Global Engagement Section (MGES) in formulating strategic development in the area of global engagement academic partnership-building and student integration;
  • Plan budget implement monitor and evaluate the MGES year-round projects;
  • Plan and implement activities to foster the culture of internationalisation and student integration at the School of Business;
  • Plan and coordinate promotion strategies for non-local (including mainland Chinese and international) student recruitment;
  • Attend overseas academic partnership-building conferences and host guest visits to solicit partners for the School;
  • Support the supervision of the team operation including management of financial and administrative matters; and
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Applicants should possess (i) a recognised bachelors degree withat leastsevenyears ofrelevant experience including several years of experience at supervisory level; (ii) strong sense of ownership and be flexible with competing priorities and changes;(iii)strong interpersonal analytical organisational and communication skills; (iv) good knowledge of and experience in working with mainland organisations / individuals; and (v) ahigh standard of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua).

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
