Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global other words were the people who keep the cloud running. AWS Infrastructure Services is the backbone of Amazon Web Services responsible for the design planning delivery and operation of AWSs global infrastructure. We are the driving force that keeps the cloud running supporting all AWS data centers and managing the servers storage networking power and cooling equipment that ensure uninterrupted access to innovation for our customers worldwide.

The Role

We are seeking a highly analytical driven and experienced Materials Manager to join our diverse team of software hardware and network engineers supply chain specialists security experts and operations this role you will lead inventory management strategies that optimize customer experience inventory levels and operational efficiency.

As a Materials Manager you will be at the forefront of maintaining efficient manufacturing capacity and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers. Youll collaborate with teams across AWS to uphold the highest standards of safety and security while working towards our goal of providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost.

Key job responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable reliable analytical tools dashboards and metrics to drive key decisions and resource prioritization
- Play a pivotal role in defining and executing complex supply chain strategies as a key member of the AWS Infrastructure supply chain team
- Manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously adapting to rapidly changing priorities and ambiguous situations
- Drive process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency and reliability
- Develop and implement strategic supply schedules clearly communicating priorities and status to internal and external stakeholders

- Bachelors or an advanced degree in supply chain business engineering finance or related technical or quantitative field.
- 6 years work experience in supply chain planning procurement manufacturing or 4 years with an advanced degree.
- 5 years experience with data analysis tools such as Excel Pivot Tables SQL Tableau etc.
- 4 years experience in program project or product management or leading an implementation of a product.




- MBA or advanced degree in engineering supply chain or other quantitative disciplines.
- Experience in data centers an infrastructure service provider or similar technology company.
- Global Supply Chain Experience
- Fluent in multiple languages preferred
- 10 years of relevant supply chain experience
- Understanding of the implications of different operational choices to guide teams and leadership to best solutions for the organization
- Analytical skills with a high degree of proficiency in data mining.
- Able to model supply chain strategies to define cost and performance impacts trade-offs and risks
- Ability to think big and drive innovation throughout the supply chain
- Must be analytical and have a passion for diving deep
- Effectively communicate relevant information at all levels of the organization
- leadership and coaching skills
- Has created an innovative global supply strategy for the organization resulting in a tangible benefit to the business

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
