For VONK in Zwolle we are looking for a Finance Manager who has experience in a technical environment.
Purpose of the job:
In this position you are to lead the finance governance control and reporting activities of VONK by taking responsibility to ensure the integrity and correctness of the financial accounts to provide financial support and challenge while contributing to achieve the (financial) strategy and long term goals through provision of decision support management information. Therefore you must have detailed knowledge of the financial figures and acting as the financial conscience of VONK.
Your tasks and key responsibilities are:
- Reports to the Managing Director and you are member of the VONK Management Team with authority to carry out the following duties which include but are not limited to:
- Prepare monthly and ad hoc financial reporting. Perform detailed financial analysis and present outcomes to management. Lead financial review and appraisal sessions with the business through support and challenge;
- Ensure accurate timely and quality project and performance management reporting including Value of Work Done (VOWD) monitoring of performance variances against budgets latest estimates risk management and contingencies with both project team and other stakeholders;
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure acceptable aging and integrity of trade payables trade receivables work in progress and other assets and liabilities;
- Prepare and manage the cash flow forecasts in co-operation with the business project teams. Ensure variances are analyzed in order to propose and implement improvement actions;
- You will be managing 1 person;
- Support sales teams in preparation of bids and tenders. Participate in tenderboard;
- Owner of the financial control framework and responsible to embed financial and taxation processes incl. adherence to the authorization matrix within the business unit and ensure effectiveness of controls;
- Execute financial management to ensure compliance with external financing and covenants;
- Prepare forecast and ensure short term and long term business unit strategies are reflected in the financial forecast. Provides financial perspective to management team in setting business strategy. Translates business strategy into key actions for finance.
Your profile:
- A bachelor (BSc.) degree in business administration finance accounting or economics;
- At least 10 years of experience within an international technological environment and a proven track record in business finance and strategy;
- Experience with projects (controlling);
- Strong leadership skills and personality self-starter decisive independent and customer oriented;
- Developed excellent skills in analyzing and solving problems;
- You get things done have a focus on delivery of results and embrace and embed change;
- You bring excellent teamwork skills;
- Excellent English language skills (Dutch is a big plus) both verbal and written.

- Depending on your experience and education a fulltime salary of 60.000- to 84.000- per year excluding 8% holiday allowance and year-end bonus.
- 37 days of leave per year.
