Job Description

Accounts Payable & Receivable Officer

Hobart Tas

We are looking for an accounts payable and receivable officer to join our finance team and play a key role in supporting accurate timely financial operations to drive our success.

The Role

In this role you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounts payable and receivable processing ensuring high volume transactions are actioned effectively to enhance cashflow and minimise company exposure. Youll collaborate closely with internal teams external suppliers and customer s to maintain accuracy resolve queries quickly and provide exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile invoices payment and purchases within required timeframes
  • Maintain vendor accounts ensuring data integrity and payments are up to date
  • Prepare and process EFT payments for approval
  • Undertake collections reconciliations and credit administration tasks
  • Work with supply operations and customer service teams to follow up claims and resolve payment issues
  • Assist with month end reporting and period closures
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders by providing accurate timely responses
  • Play a critical role in the ongoing enhancement of AR/AP processes.

About you

To succeed in this role you will bring:

  • Relevant qualifications and or experience in accounts payable/receivable processing and reconciliations
  • Sound understanding of finance principals and general ledger allocations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volume tasks
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach
  • Proficiency in excel and SAP Business one desirable
  • Problem solving and analytical thinking skills with a proactive mindset
