Job Description

Sheringham Nursery School and Childrens Centre leads A Brighter Start: Londons Stronger Practice Hub one of 18 across England. Funded by the Department for Education and supported by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) and National Childrens Bureau (NCB) the Stronger Practice Hub programme aims to improve quality in early years so that every child has the best possible start in life.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Stronger Practice Hub Lead to manage the delivery and coordination of our Hub under the strategic leadership of the Deputy Headteacher. You will work with early years educators and leaders across London to embed high-quality evidence-informed practice strengthening provision and improving outcomes for children particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage delivery of the Hubs activities to meet DfE KPIs.
  • Build strong networks across early years providers schools and childminders.
  • Promote and support the implementation of evidence-based programmes.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Hub team.
  • Plan and deliver training events and professional development opportunities.
  • Oversee communications marketing and engagement with the sector.
  • Ensure effective financial management and compliance with funding requirements.

About you:
You will have a strong understanding of the early years sector high-quality teaching and professional development. You will be a confident leader who can inspire and influence others manage change and work collaboratively across organisations. Experience in training delivery stakeholder engagement and budget management is essential.

Essential requirements:

  • Relevant early years qualification (minimum Level 3) and degree-level qualification (or willingness to work towards).
  • Proven leadership experience within early years education or a related field.
  • Excellent communication organisational and IT skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting childrens wellbeing.
