Our client is a globally well-known food manufacturer.
The company is looking for a suitable candidate for Product Development Manager to support the main operation site in Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat) Thailand.
Job Description
- Spearheading the research and development efforts for new and existing food products ensuring they align with regional and global market demands.
- Designing and refining food products that cater to consumer preferences while adhering to brand guidelines.
- Ensuring all products developed meet quality and safety standards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product briefs and objectives.
- Developing product prototypes based on design briefs and critical success factors. Manage the scale-up process from kitchen trials to full-scale industrial production including commissioning and validation.
- Working closely with local and regional teams to facilitate the transfer of technology and product knowledge. Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements recipe registration legal reviews and sustainability standards.
- Conducting tests and other assessments to ensure that products meet performance criteria before launch.
- Ensuring the accurate development and maintenance of BOMs ensuring all product information is correctly entered into the business operating system.
- Providing technical expertise in resolving production issues and investigating product performance concerns implementing effective solutions.
- Maintaining up-to-date product specifications factbooks and technical documents ensuring traceability and compliance with all relevant standards.
- Mentoring and coaching the Wet Product Development team fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Food Science Nutrition or a related field.
- Over 5 yearsexperience in food product development particularly in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations product development processes and quality standards.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with experience working in a regional or global context.
- Good English communication is a Must
- Must be able to be based in Pak Chong Korat.
