Job Description

Customs Services Team Lead

The Team Lead of Customs Process Administrator (CPA) is responsible within a team to coordinate and organise the full range of customs services starting with order acceptance registering the order collecting all relevant documents until the release of goods and customs clearance. A Team Lead will receive extensive internal and external training as well as an online training for customs legislation and foreign trade as well as daily support.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all Import & Export declarations Transit Movements and Manifests.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all financial activities relevant to MCS.
  • Ensure all Customer needs are met or exceeded within our Compliance Controls.
  • Monitor team workload and highlight any risk to Team Manager including Compliance & Training Team for any Compliance or Training requirements.
  • Monitor and approve 1st request holiday applications ensuring adequate HC in place to meet production levels.
  • Arrange account cover for unexpected absence.
  • Collate analyse and present data reports to Management Customer Internal Stakeholders Compliance and Implementation Teams.
  • To ensure all Operating Manuals are reviewed regularly and updated where required.
  • Ensure that work carried out complies with standard as defined in the operating Manuals.
  • Continuously identify waste in processes delivering improvements which will positively impact productivity (production) levels.
  • Attend and Support Audits and Face to Face Customer Meetings
  • Maintain a first-class business relationship with all customers and internal stakeholders.
  • To support all growth initiatives and actively participate in creating innovative solutions.
  • To be an active team member who will exchange knowledge and expertise.
  • To ensure training is completed to allow you to cover all accounts.
  • Proactively lead or actively participate in Customs related projects
  • To engender team spirit and staff engagement.
  • Deputise in the absence of Customs Manager/Senior Customs Manager.
  • Carry out any reasonable request made by MCS Management and ALT.

Technical Skills:

  • Manifest Platforms / Terminal System (JUL)
  • Must have: The course of Customs Broker Order - Estgio Profissional de Acesso a Despachante Oficial
  • Gidwin Customs system
  • Other PT Government systems and applications (Port Health quality phyto) Outlook and APM Web Mail
  • Microsoft applications: Word Excel Access Visio PPT Teams SharePoint
  • Ability to Update and View data within Maersk and brand systems to include but not Limited to: MODS Maersk Reporting Kewill FACT GCSS
  • MCS Customs modules
  • My Learning
  • Workday
