Job Summary

BTS Japan is looking for a Director to join our diverse growing team in Tokyo. At BTS we believe that the best strategies mean little if theyre not executed well. Thats where we come in equipping our clients leaders with the mindsets skills and capabilities they need to succeed.

What You Will Do at BTS

At BTS Japan youll work closely with colleagues on small high-performing teams partnering with senior leaders from Fortune Global 100 and 500 companies. You will help turn our clients visions into results by designing tailored learning experiences that drive innovation alignment behaviour change and performance.

Specifically you will:

Present ideas and insights to clients design and customise learning solutions and participate in delivering impactful experiences to client stakeholders.
Identify and convert strategic business opportunities by assessing client needs developing tailored proposals and articulating BTSs value and offerings.
Design facilitate and deliver impactful leadership and business transformation programs in both Japanese and English.
Oversee the creation and management of learning content leveraging and developing scalable solutions across BTS globally.
Coach develop and inspire team members to enhance capability collaboration and engagement.
Enable clients leaders to execute their strategies and achieve measurable results through BTS solutions.
Lead and grow client partnerships building trusted relationships and expanding BTSs presence in Japan.

Who We Are Looking For

Client Focus: Proven ability to understand client challenges and formulate solutions
Sales Exposure: Comfort with and desire to sell. Previous exposure to selling in a consulting environment is desired
A Team Player: Ability to work well in a team and independently
Collaboration: Work across BTS regional units and practices to ensure collaboration
Capabilities: Demonstrable experience in learning design facilitation or leadership development

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

15 years of professional experience including 5 in leadership/organisational development consulting
Native-level Japanese and advanced English proficiency
Strong business/financial acumen
Proven ability to engage effectively with senior client stakeholders
Demonstrated success in business development and a consultative approach to sales
Strong relationship-building leadership and people development skills
Advanced critical thinking problem-solving and project management capabilities
Expertise in facilitation coaching or psychometric assessments (certification a plus)
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Strong alignment with BTSs values: entrepreneurial spirit client-centricity and a people-first mindset
