As a member of EMRs Mineral Resources Branch you are part of a professional team whose objective is to advance resource planning to support the orderly development of Yukons natural resources in a responsible and sustainable manner. The team develops and delivers policies strategies programs and legislative instruments to support integrated resource management.
As a key member of the branch supervisory team and reporting to the Manager Mineral Planning and Development this position oversees a team of policy analysts and ensures operational research evaluation and analysis are carried out in line with current practices emerging requirements and corporate and departmental mandates across all phases of mineral resource development from mineral tenure and exploration to major mine operations. Key responsibilities include leading the annual branch planning process providing strategic advice to branch regulators collaborating with staff from across the Mineral Resources Branch briefing senior management on current and emerging policy issues and representing the branch on interdepartmental committees.
