Job Summary

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Associate of Postsecondary Pathways will envision plan and steward the Tarrant To & Through Scholar and family experience during students 9-12 education. Through collaboration with members of the T3 Postsecondary Pathways teams district staff and non-profit organizations this role will provide relevant timely communication to support students and their families on a path to achieving their desired postsecondary pathway.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Student and Family Engagement (70%)
  • Execute a comprehensive student and family communication strategy to ensure targeted information is delivered to relevant parties
  • Design monthly newsletters to pledged students using Active Campaign and ModernCampus
  • Track and analyze data through case management systems to adjust course for approach to student and family communication
  • Ensure students consistently receive highest quality of services that their needs are met and that each student makes satisfactory progress toward program goals by connecting students with appropriate people and resources
  • Foster strong relationships with students and families through regular touchpoints strong customer service and individualized support strategies.
  • Regularly contact students and families by phone email online messaging and in-person meetings to address specific needs and troubleshoot challenges students experiencing in their postsecondary journey
  • Draft all content and coordinate with partner vendors to schedule and deliver strong communication to students and families
  • Collaborate with T3 technology team and external vendors to troubleshoot student and family communication challenges
Program Operations Support (30%)
  • Support members of the Postsecondary Pathways team specifically those who support FWISD specialty campuses and other T3 programs teams in planning and executing strategies to ensure students enroll in a postsecondary pathway with confidence
  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of the TSI Support Initiative ensuring students have access to resources scheduling and guidance needed to meet college readiness requirements
  • Provides comprehensive support to the Postsecondary Pathways team with scheduling logistics coordination of student materials and other administrative tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Create logistical plans for in-person and virtual events
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure correct and timely delivery of materials required for event success (i.e. catering supplies etc.)
  • Communicate with various audiences in a manner that builds confidence and clarity on the logistics (i.e. timing location etc.) of programmatic events
  • Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • Bachelors degree in relevant field advanced degree preferred.
Experience
  • 2 years of professional experience working within higher education K-12 education workforce development and/or a corporate philanthropy setting.
  • Experience and success working in a matrixed organizational structure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Experience working directly with economically disadvantaged students and families
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to be personable yet persuasive.
  • Ability to interact effectively in the community and at multiple levels within organizations especially organizations serving culturally and economically diverse communities.
  • A degree of personal organization and results-orientation that enables success in a quantitative outcomes-oriented environment.
  • A proven ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently on complex initiatives.
  • Ability to operate with humility an open mind and a sense of urgency.
  • A true curiosity and commitment to finding more effective ways to meet the needs of underserved children. And a willingness and desire to engage fully in the challenges of this work and to communicate its challenges successes and conclusions.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position will require frequent travel throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding suburbs.

Work at a desk and computer screen for extended periods of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment associated with this position may involve varying noise levels ranging from low to high and is subject to frequent interruptions. Employees may also encounter periodic distractions resulting from the activities and interactions of colleagues in the vicinity while performing the essential duties of the role.
