About Walmarts Sourcing Division
Walmarts Sourcing Division is a dynamic collaborative team supporting every business division in both the United States and international markets. Our purpose is to streamline the supply chain support retail operations and deliver a customer-centric platform that connects global segments with essential products. This role is key to ensuring our sourcing strategy enhances Walmarts ecosystem and drives business results.
What youll do:
- Oversee supplier management conducting factory visits and maintaining strong relationships.
- Lead sourcing initiatives provide guidance to team members and drive digital transformation.
- Negotiate costs identify savings and make key order placement decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and manage quality-related issues.
- Present solutions to mitigate risk and execute special projects as needed.
What youll bring:
- Experience in global sourcing (perishables) supply chain and cost negotiation.
- Analytical and strategic leadership skills; planning and critical thinking ability.
- 4-year degree or 3-5 years in produce retail/food industry preferred.
- Willingness to travel 10%-30% of the time;
- Ability to work cross-culturally and partner with diverse associates.
