Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Force and Distributor Management: Leading and managing the sales force (food service) and distributors within the assigned region to meet commercial objectives including sales targets distribution and merchandising.
  • Strategy Development and Implementation: Actively contributing to the ICP process supporting the creation of the Field Sales Strategy and executing the Channel Strategy and Customer Plan.
  • Sales Target Allocation: Setting and communicating individual sales targets for each salesperson ensuring alignment with regional goals.
  • Performance Management: Overseeing the performance of the sales force in field operations focusing on sell-out distribution product merchandising and sales call effectiveness and productivity.
  • Sales Monitoring and Reporting: Tracking sales performance daily and monthly against targets providing actionable recommendations for improvement when necessary.
  • Customer Business Planning: Conducting regular business plan reviews with customers to assess performance and identify opportunities.
  • Sales Promotion: Planning and executing regional sales promotions within the assigned budget.
  • POP Implementation: Ensuring that the sales force adheres to Point of Purchase (POP) strategies in line with commercial plans through meetings market visits audits and other monitoring activities.
  • Territory and Route Planning: Designing and monitoring the efficiency of sales force routes and itineraries in the region.
  • Distributor Management: Managing the entire distributor lifecycle including recruitment selection performance reviews and termination in collaboration with the Account Manager and Channel Development Team.
  • Budget and Spending Management: Overseeing and managing the TTS (trade spending) within the regional budget.
  • Regional Office Operations: Ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the regional office.
  • Field Sales Incentive Management: Reviewing and approving field sales incentives ensuring accuracy and eligibility.
  • Best Practices Execution: Reinforcing and ensuring effective field sales execution according to Field Management Best Practices (FMBP).
  • Receivables Management: Monitoring and ensuring timely payments from customers taking appropriate actions to minimize bad debts.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with fellow Regional Sales Managers to share best practices drive field sales initiatives and liaise with cross-functional teams to implement regional strategies.
  • Compliance: Ensuring adherence to WHO-Code Nestl policies local legislation and company instructions while achieving objectives both individually and for the team.
  • People Development: Supporting the development of the sales team through performance management career planning and providing on-the-job coaching.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Marketing Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years in a Regional Sales Manager role or 4 years in an Area Sales Manager role.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • In-depth understanding of sales functions including Trade Marketing Customer and Field Sales.
    • Strong experience in Team and Field Sales Management Distributor Management Best Practices Market Intelligence and understanding of Channel/Shopper Trends.
    • Solid knowledge of regional channel structures and opportunities.
