Position Summary
Career Readiness Learning Objectives: Critical thinking - the student worker will provide careful evaluation of student work to assign an appropriate grade. Communication - the student worker will communicate with faculty to coordinate the timely completion of work. The physics department needs assistance setting up laboratory equipment each week and grading student labs. There may be opportunities for peer tutoring or assistance with other departmental duties as appropriate.
Physical Demands
Moving laboratory equipment from the stockroom to the teaching space. Equipment is typically not very heavy so the physical demands will be comparable with those of everyday life.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have completed either the algebra or calculus physics sequence at Gannon (or an equivalent set of courses at another institution) and be comfortable grading physics labs.
Preferred Qualifications
Students who have received an A in the algebra or calculus physics sequence at Gannon.
