Job Description

Introduction to the role: We are looking to hire a dedicated and driven financial analyst for our tax practice group within our law firm. We are a leading global law firm that is dedicated on developing and training their people to the highest standards

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collection preparation & analysis of financial data legal documents and other relevant information required for local tax filings/ tax audits and any other statutory requirements
  • Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the filings schedules and work papers prepared
  • Maintain internal databases and records.
  • Provide/prepare documents supporting the transactional data
  • Performing financial and statistical analyses
  • Designing and applying complex financial models to analyze and price intercompany transactions for products services intellectual property and financial instruments
  • Conducting interviews with our clients executive leadership teams to gather focused insight into their companys global operations
  • Undertaking in-depth company industry and market research
  • Writing client reports and preparing industry articles
  • Assisting with routine documentation review and filing obligations.

Skills Required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word Powerpoint and MS Office applications
  • Self starter reliable accurate meticulous and able to work under minimum supervision
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with internal and external contacts at all levels
  • Good oral and written competency and comfort in conducting business in English Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin (preferred)

Qualifications Requirement

  • Similar working experience in law firm or other companies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Excel accounting and data entry;
  • Possess an analytical and thorough approach to your work;
  • Have excellent research and report writing skills;
  • Have an outward-looking people-oriented personality and strong English communication skills (other languages are a plus);
  • Self-starter reliable independent and willing to work cross-border as part of a regional team.
