IT Support Specialist
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our this role you will be responsible for providing technical support to employees maintaining IT systems and ensuring the smooth operation of daily technology needs across the company. This position is key to maintaining a productive and secure IT environment in a dynamic business setting as part of a small IT team reporting to the IT Director.
Your responsibilities
Provide first- and second-level technical support to internal users via phone email and in-person.
Install configure and maintain hardware such as desktops laptops printers and mobile devices.
Troubleshoot and resolve software hardware and network issues in a timely manner.
Support and maintain Windows operating systems Microsoft 365 and other business applications.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes including equipment setup and data management.
Maintain documentation of IT systems procedures and support activities.
Monitor and respond to IT support tickets using the companys ticketing system.
Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers as needed.
Participate in IT projects and contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes.
Ensure compliance with company IT policies and cybersecurity best practices.
Your profile
Proven experience in an IT support or help desk role ideally in a business environment.
Solid understanding of Windows operating systems Microsoft 365 and standard office applications.
Familiarity with Active Directory remote desktop tools and ticketing systems.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
Understanding of basic cybersecurity practices as well as knowledge of hardware lifecycle management and inventory tracking.
Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A Microsoft Certified etc.) are a plus.
