Being theTechnical Inspector in Nergrd is more than just spare parts and maintenance its ensuring important raw materials are brought safely to shore that our crew has a safe and efficient workplace and that our vessels perform at their best all year round.

Does this describe you
- You have a technical background and genuine interest in equipment and machinery.
- Youre comfortable using both tools and digital systems and ideally have experience reading technical drawings (e.g. AutoCAD).
- You have practical experience from life at sea preferably on trawlers. Perhaps youve worked as a mate factory foreman or chief of production
- You understand how onboard factory operations work and are eager to expand that knowledge.
- Youre experienced in logistics procurement and administration. Youll manage purchasing negotiations and inventory and collaborate closely with both suppliers and crew. Strong interpersonal skills and a solution-oriented mindset are essential.
- Youre cost-conscious and always on the lookout for ways to improve operations and reduce downtime.
We are looking forsomeone that:
- Has solid technical competence and experience from working at sea ideally someone whos climbed the ranks and knows what it takes to keep an onboard factory running.
- Is flexible practical and focused on cost-effective operations.
- Can communicate clearly and respectfully with both crew and office staff.
- Has a genuine interest in trawling and fisheries.
- Is comfortable balancing both hands-on and administrative work from being out on deck to planning in the office.
The position is based in Troms. Were seeking someone who can work closely with Nergrds vessels and crew on a regular basis.
