The Quality Control Inspector assures products meet the companys quality standards while assisting operations in developing and enforcing good manufacturing processes and procedures. They inspect and test trucks from work in progress to the finished product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Inspects in-process production of vacuum trucks by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
- Inspects finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database
- Monitors production areas and checks that all manufactured products or parts meet the necessary production standards.
- Compares product with bill of materials and sales release to ensure completion of assembly.
- Interprets engineering drawings/diagrams and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- Selects products for tests at specified stages in the production process and tests for variety of qualities such as dimensions performance and mechanical characteristics.
- Operates any diagnostic equipment needed to perform job.
- Assists test bay manager with the testing of trucks and is backup when test bay manager is on vacation.
- Assists production with diagnosing issues on trucks
- Suggests design and location changes that improves function of the truck.

Education And Experience - High School diploma GED or equivalent work experience.
- Experience building custom trucks is preferred but not required.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS This position requires a valid drivers license.
