Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily engineering operations ensuring smooth functioning of all mechanical and electrical systems.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for HVAC electrical plumbing and fire safety systems.
- Monitor energy consumption and support the hotels energy conservation initiatives.
- Execute the Work Order Control System ensuring timely completion and quality checks.
- Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire alarms power failures and lift entrapments.
- Train guide and motivate engineering team members to maintain high service standards.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments (Housekeeping F&B Front Office) to address engineering-related needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety health and environmental regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or certified Chargeman/Wireman with relevant qualifications.
- Minimum 5 years experience in hotel engineering/maintenance operations with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC M&E systems building automation fire safety and preventive maintenance.
- Hands-on leadership skills with the ability to manage coach and develop a team.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with hotel operations and ability to work closely with multiple departments.
- Strong communication skills fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (other languages an advantage).
- Willing to work shifts weekends and public holidays as required.
