Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily engineering operations ensuring smooth functioning of all mechanical and electrical systems.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for HVAC electrical plumbing and fire safety systems.
• Monitor energy consumption and support the hotels energy conservation initiatives.
• Execute the Work Order Control System ensuring timely completion and quality checks.
• Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire alarms power failures and lift entrapments.
• Train guide and motivate engineering team members to maintain high service standards.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments (Housekeeping F&B Front Office) to address engineering-related needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety health and environmental regulations at all times.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or certified Chargeman/Wireman with relevant qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years experience in hotel engineering/maintenance operations with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC M&E systems building automation fire safety and preventive maintenance.
• Hands-on leadership skills with the ability to manage coach and develop a team.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with hotel operations and ability to work closely with multiple departments.
• Strong communication skills fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (other languages an advantage).
• Willing to work shifts weekends and public holidays as required.
