Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation:Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates forresidential and hotel projects ensuring all aspects of the project are considered.
Tender Preparation:Assist in the preparation of tender documents bills of quantities and other necessary documentation for bidding processes.
Contract Administration:Support the management of contracts including assessing and processing variations progress payments and final accounts.
Budget Management:Monitor project expenditures and progress ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and financial objectives.
Supplier and Subcontractor Engagement:Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and negotiate favorable terms.
Risk Management:Identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate financial and operational impacts.
Collaboration:Work closely with project managers architects and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost forecasting and project planning.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Educational Background:Degree inQuantity Surveying Construction Management or a related field.
- Experience:Previous experience inestimating or quantity surveyingwithin the construction industry particularly inresidential and hospitality sectors.
- Technical Proficiency:Familiarity withindustry-standard estimating softwareand strong proficiency inMicrosoft Office Suite.
- Analytical Skills:Exceptional numerical and analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills capable of effectively interacting with various stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills:Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously adhering to deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Problem-Solving:Proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
