Deputy Team Manager - Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)
Salary: 45624 to 52038 per annum
Grade: F
Permanent Contract
37 Hours per week
We are seeking an exceptional engaging and committed individual to join us as Deputy Team Manager within Thurrocks Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
This person must be a Qualified Social Worker at Senior Practitioner level and above.
The role is a unique and exciting opportunity to support the MASH team in a secure environment to assess risk to children and young people in Thurrock consider threshold for intervention and work alongside key agencies to appropriately information share and promote the welfare of children.
The post holder will be responsible for screening and signing off risk assessments completed by Social Workers managing day to day running of the team with the Team Manager managing a shared inbox and applying consistent threshold.
The post holder will be required to deputise for the MASH Team Manager in leading the team as part of this position and will need to comply with and promote legislation statutory guidance and local policies and procedures. The post holder is responsible for supervising administrative staff that support the MASH Team and will act as the Team Manager in their absence.
Requirements;
- Be registered with Social Work England and hold a social work degree/masters
- Have experience in supervising staff
- Act as the Team Manager in their absence
- Subject to an enhanced DBS
- Experience within a multi-agency/front door team
- Extensive understand of threshold and intervention
- Knowledge of universal support and Early Help Services
- Be present in the office for a minimumof two days per week
