Job Description
Location: Brisbane
Remuneration/Benefit: Negotiable
About the role:
Be part of our growth in cyber defence. Were expanding our Cyber Security Operations capability and this is your chance to make an impact.
As a Cyber Defence Analyst youll be at the frontline of monitoring investigating and responding to cyber threats helping us build a stronger smarter defence.
In this role you will:
- Monitor triage and prioritise alerts incidents and threat intelligence outputs.
- Investigate suspicious activity and assist with threat hunting.
- Support incident response including containment recovery and post-incident reviews.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare reports and maintain playbooks tools and processes.
- Analyse malware and vulnerabilities to enhance detection and defences.
About you
Were looking for someone with:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (mandatory).
- Professional certifications in SOC operations (preferred).
- Previous enterprise-level experience in a similar role.
- Scripting skills for automating security tasks and workflows.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g. Splunk Microsoft Sentinel).
- Strong understanding of system/cloud administration firewalls and EDR tools.
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK D3FEND YARA scanning and deception technologies.
