Job Description
Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc is seeking a dedicated and physically capableScum Desweetening Operatorto support our production team. This role is ideal for individuals with a science background and a strong drive to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining the scum desweetening unit ensuring optimal performance and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the scum desweetening unit efficiently and safely.
- Monitor sweet water parameters including flow Brix color and pH levels.
- Set and adjust operational parameters for the scum clarifier and chemical dosing.
- Maintain the desweetening unit in good working condition through routine checks and basic maintenance.
- Ensure cleanliness and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all unit activities.
- Collaborate with TALO Operators Scum Dewatering Operators and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift TALO Supervisor.
Requirements
Educational Qualification:OND in any science-based discipline. Candidates with a high school certificate and strong potential will also be considered.
Experience:No prior experience required; training will be provided.
Skills & Competencies:
- Basic knowledge of science and industrial processes
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in a factory setting
- Determination drive and a result-oriented mindset
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
