OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY
Fox TV StationsFOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas or DMAs and duopolies in 11 DMAs including the three largest DMAs (New York Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations 18 are affiliated with the FOX addition to distributing sports entertainment and syndicated content our television stations collectively produce approximately 1200 hours of local news every week. WTTG/WDCA Studio Technician / Technical Director (Per Diem Part-Time)
FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus is a leading and valued newsroom dedicated to delivering high-quality news across broadcast digital and streaming platforms. Role Highlights:
Fill a variety of production roles and prep material for our broadcasts.
Operate in a fast-paced live production control room and studio.
Perform functions including but not limited to technical director audio operator robotic camera and/or floor director.
Interact effectively and professionally with on-air staff off-air staff production and technical crews and management.
Other duties as assigned.
What Youre Bringing:
Education & Experience: HS Diploma (or equivalent) is required. Vocational/technical school associate degree or bachelors degree preferred. A minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a broadcast technician master control technician technical director or similar role in a news environment. Previous experience in a medium to major size market is required.
Skills: Ability to operate live broadcast production equipment. Excellent communication skills and news judgment. Solid understanding of live production environments specifically news production is with automated control room be able to sit and stand for an extended period.
Professionalism: Ability to take direction and work under deadline pressure consistently displaying a professional demeanor. Positive and supportive newsroom citizen.
FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus is a 24/7 operation. Flexibility in scheduling is essential including evenings early mornings weekends and holidays and in the case of breaking news. Candidate will also be required to join the I.A.T.S.E Local 819 union. This position will be for no less than two weeks with no end date determined at this time.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements the pay rate/range for this role with final offer amount dependent on education skills experience and location is $30.41-50.73 per hour.Required Experience:
