II. SUMMARY OF ASSIGNMENT

Under direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Early Learning Program provides receptionist duties for theEarly Learning Program and clerical services.

III. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

as receptionist and District information source for the Early Learning Program; greets and directs visitors; answers in-coming telephone calls and routes to the appropriate office or provides information to the caller.

student re-entry into school and early dismissals.
the Attendance Office computer and other facilities to record and monitor daily

attendance by periods.
daily contact to parents regarding absences.

to parent inquires on attendance matters.
and distribute daily absentee list.
grade level administrator of period absences.
with students regarding attendance problems. Inform grade level

administrator of serious or chronic problems.
operate office machinery and perform other clerical duties as assigned.
and supervise student office assistants.
communicable disease report.
certification of absentee listing for the district business office.
appropriate and cooperative behavior including protecting confidential

information consistent with district ethical guidelines.
and maintain strong productive relationships with district employees

parents students and other community members. Work with a variety of people in

a positive manner.
other duties as assigned.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education and Experience
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Two (2) years of successful continuous receptionist and/or clerical work experience.
B. Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
1. Knowledge of and ability to display consistently correct telephone etiquette and a pleasant speaking voice as well as perform duties in a courteous friendly and effective manner in a diverse environment with frequent interruptions.
2. Knowledge of and ability to use correct grammar spelling punctuation and English usage.
to operate a multi-line telephone set personal computer and standard office equipment.
to work in a multi-cultural and ethnically diverse school surrounding with the ability to communicate effectively with all cultural groups in the community and school environment.
to work independently exercise sound judgment and maintain confidential information.
to be consistently punctual and maintain regular attendance.
to learn district structure and operations and be able to communicate accurate information to the public effectively.

VI. WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in a regular office environment. Must be able to use fingers hands and arms and to listen carefully and focus while filtering out normal office noise. Ability to see hear speak walk sit stand crouch and reach. Moderate lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds. Reaching overhead and horizontally. Ability to use hands and fingers for keyboarding multi-line phone system and mail machine; ability to sit for prolonged periods of time. Exposed to frequent work place interruptions on the telephone and in person.

JOB CLASS: Office/Clerical WORK YEAR: 210 Days

*Internal candidates may be placed on a longevity step per corresponding collective bargaining agreement.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Employment with Clover Park School District is conditional pending completion of a Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint background check as required by RCW28A.400.303. (NOTE: All associated background check fees are the employees responsibility.) The fingerprint scan must be completed prior to the first day of employment.

Employees who are anticipated to work 630 hours during the school year (September 1 through August 31) are eligible for medical dental vision long term disability and basic life insurance benefits.

Retirement and Deferred Compensation

These are supplemental retirement savings programs that allows you control over the amount of pre-tax salary dollars you defer as well as the flexibility to choose between multiple investment options.
