College of Computing & Data Science (CCDS) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow. Our lab advances the mathematical foundations algorithms and real-world applications of epistemic uncertainty in machine learning with a strong focus on imprecise probabilities uncertainty representation and quantification explainability and decision-making under uncertainty. We aim to push the boundaries of theory and practice in these areas developing principled methods that address fundamental and applied challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
As an early-career researcher developing your academic profile you will be expected to:
Conduct cutting-edge research in areas aligned with the groups research agenda.
Demonstrate research independence and produce original work that advances the state of knowledge in the field.
Mentor and support junior researchers and students within the group.
Job Requirements:
Preferably PhD in Mathematics Statistics Computer Science Physics Engineering or equivalent.
Independent highly analytical proactive and a team player
Excellent teamwork and verbal written communication skills
In-depth knowledge relevant to the project domain.
Demonstrated capability to conduct innovative research.
Ability to initiate collaboration research in multidisciplinary team.
