Job Summary

As an Automation Engineer in our Central Operations team youll sit at the heart of our Deployment and Customer Success organization building scalable automations internal tools and integrations that directly improve the speed efficiency and impact of how we onboard and support our customers.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on solving real business problems quickly and effectively. Youll write clean maintainable code (mostly in Python) connect systems via APIs and eliminate manual work through clever scalable solutions. Your work will directly contribute to one of Mews most critical OKRs: reducing deployment costs increasing onboarding speed and redefining the new customer journey.

Your mission should you choose to accept it

Build and maintain automations across platforms like Salesforce JIRA Glean and Slack
Create internal tools that streamline workflows and improve self-serve capabilities
Design and implement system integrations that connect data and teams across Mews
Translate business requirements into scalable automation solutions
Own delivery end-to-end from prototyping to testing deployment and documentation
Partner with product data and infra teams to ensure tools are robust and reusable
Identify opportunities to eliminate inefficiencies and increase operational reliability
Use AI tooling and emerging frameworks where relevant to enhance automation

Youll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you

Extensive experience in automation backend data engineering or internal tools development
Proficiency in Python JavaScript or another scripting language for automation
Experience with REST APIs OAuth tokens and AI protocols (e.g. OpenAI LangChain)
Hands-on use of platforms like Zapier n8n Make or Retool in production
Strong problem-solver with a bias for action and a love for removing blockers
Structured thinker who builds for scale and documents for clarity
Comfortable iterating quickly on MVPs and adapting to shifting needs
Familiar with modern cloud environments and developer tooling
