Position Overview The Maintenance Assistant will support the Maintenance Supervisor with upkeep and repair of equipment facilities and building systems. This part-time role provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is an excellent opportunity for someone currently in college or trade school to gain valuable technical skills. The right candidate will be motivated to learn eager to get hands-on experience with different types of equipment and able to assist in a wide variety of maintenance activities. Essential Job Functions - Assist with equipment maintenance:
- Support in routine preventative maintenance (PM) tasks.
- Help with repairs and troubleshooting under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform basic checks to ensure machines are in good working order.
- Facility upkeep:
- Assist with general building and grounds maintenance.
- Support setup and basic repairs for shop and facility areas.
- Documentation and organization:
- Help track maintenance work performed.
- Assist with organizing tools parts and maintenance supplies.
- Learning and training:
- Shadow and assist the Maintenance Supervisor in equipment repair and upkeep.
- Gain exposure to a variety of machines processes and maintenance procedures.
- Follow all safety protocols and assist in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Other tasks:
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Maintenance Supervisor and operations.
Education and Experience - Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting moving equipment and working with tools.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of tools and mechanical systems.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Prior experience (school projects internships or work experience) with mechanical electrical or facility maintenance. (preferred)
- Familiarity with safety practices in a workshop or industrial setting. (preferred)

Work Conditions - Part-time flexible hours to accommodate school schedules (may include evenings or weekends).
