What youll do:As Senior Market Analysis Analyst you will be responsible for power market analysis efforts to support strategic decision-making and optimize business performance in the markets that NPI operates. With a strong analytical mindset excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders you will support the business on a global level by working closely with colleagues in the Development Origination and Operations teams.
This role will be 4 days in office with one flexible day available for employees to work from home
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct data driven analysis to develop NPIs in-house view on all commodity prices that underpin project business cases for development and operational projects. The key focus will be on power prices as they drive NPIs revenue from its wind solar and BESS projects but it will also include related inputs such as gas and carbon prices.
- The role will focus on NPIs European portfolio but is also expected to include projects in other region
- Work with Risk Management to identify and quantify market risks to future revenues.
- Work with external vendors views to supplement in-house analysis or to bridge any gaps where appropriate. Assist in managing those external vendor relationships.
- Stay up to date with power market developments across Europe and identify market opportunities and risks through insights research and analysis as they relate to NPIs projects
- Collaborate with senior leadership and other internal stakeholders to provide actionable insights that inform strategy and operational decisions.
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of materials to support business decisions at all levels.
- Work with the global market analysis team to develop and implement a strategy to cover all NPIs core and target markets.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience
- Completed Undergraduate Degree in business economics finance or engineering A related graduate degree is also desirable.
- 3-5 years of experience assessing modelling and reporting on European power markets. Experience developing or running energy market simulation models considered an asset.
- Experience relating to wind solar and BESS projects is preferable but other technologies will also be considered
- Experience monitoring market regulatory bodies and assessing impacts of regulatory changes to business models and energy markets.
