Job Description

Your Role

Responsibilities

  • Inform customers of unit prices shipping details anticipated delays and any additional information needed by the customer after the placement of the original order.
  • Check delivery tickets for changes or mistakes.
  • Submit completed BOLs to the appropriate CSR; create milk-run BOLs
  • Perform order double checks.
  • Performs all duties in strict accordance with company safety and environmental policies.
  • Serve as a backup in unloading inbound freight when a Driver is unavailable.
  • Check inventory control and notify the Facility Manager of orders that would deplete stock.
  • Confer with sales shipping warehouse or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.
  • Coordinate deliveries to maximize truck capacity and efficiency.
  • Dispatch drivers providing complete instructions.
  • Evaluate Drivers performance.
  • Monitors Drivers DOT hours.
  • Perform truck inspections with drivers on a weekly basis.
  • Maintains ELD system corrects errors and retrieves daily reports.
  • Assist the Facility Manager in the day to day matters of the facility.
  • Manage the facility Intelex reporting system.
  • Demonstrate and facilitate open and honest communication with the department and with employees at all levels of the company; communicate regularly within the department on appropriate matters; communicate with peer managers across the company.
  • Related duties as assigned.

Your Profile

Education & Experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively with others. Better than average written and spoken communication skills.
  • Bi-lingual in English/Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Ability to making critically analyze problem solve and offer solutions.
  • Available to be on-call after hours weekends and holidays.
  • Perform each essential duty successfully.
