Position Summary
As part of our clients NPI System Engineering team within the Global Supply Chain organisation this role is responsible for ensuring a smooth transition of products from development to full-scale production and launch. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert for their assigned sub-systems working closely with internal teams external partners and suppliers to uphold the highest standards of design quality and manufacturability. This role also contributes to R&D initiatives and supports project launch activities through technical and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Design Transfer initiatives by applying Design for Excellence principles.
Act as the subject matter expert for assigned systems and provide internal training as needed.
Serve as the key interface between R&D manufacturing and suppliers ensuring alignment across all stages of development.
Conduct design reviews to ensure ease of assembly and high-yield performance incorporating the use of assembly and test fixtures.
Drive cost optimization by influencing system design during development and applying LEAN manufacturing principles.
Ensure design decisions support future sustaining and maintenance activities.
Design and develop jigs fixtures and testing equipment to support industrialization.
Maintain proper documentation aligned with Design and Manufacturing QMS requirements.
Collaborate with development teams to establish and manage QMS-compliant workflows.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in a product development environment.
Proficient in Design for Excellence concepts.
Experience with tools such as DOORS JAMA and SAP.
Background in highly regulated industries preferred.
Preferably holds experience or education in Electrical Engineering.
Skilled in 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks) or Electrical CAD systems (e.g. Altium Designer).
