Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the front desk during your assigned shifts.
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere at the front desk.
  • Ensure that the front office team is well-prepared and meeting service standards.
  • Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately prepare reports needed for daily activities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests and assist with resolving any guest issues or special requests.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns aiming for prompt and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Assist with room reservations ensuring accuracy in booking information.
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy of billing and payment collection processes.
  • Handle credit card transactions according to hotel policies.
  • Assist in training and mentoring front desk staff to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments including housekeeping and maintenance.
  • Prepare shift reports and communicate essential information to management.
  • Assist enforcing security and safety protocols including emergency procedures.
  • Ensure the safety and security of guests and employees during your shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant resort policies procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized desk area.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times ensuring the assigned uniform is clean pressed and complete with the required nametag.
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to meet business needs.
  • Adhere to all company policies safety procedures and brand service standards.

Qualifications

Experience & Education

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service role; hospitality experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in computer skills; experience with property management systems preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent attention to detail multi-tasking and time-management abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to providing a safe welcoming environment.
  • Ability to project calm authority during interactions with guests or in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of safety and security procedures emergency response and report writing.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • English language proficiency is required to perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
  • Able to stand walk and perform repetitive motions (reaching lifting pushing pulling) for extended periods of time.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays may be required based on hotel needs.
