Job Description

About the team

You will be part of the Assessment Support team within the Education Area of LIS. The team is part of the IT/IV organization but you will also work very closely with educational departments and colleagues. The goal of Assessment Support is to translate all needs in the field of examination into working digital solutions. This means that you will not only manage systems but also actively think about the design and development of digital tests.

The team manages several systems that are part of the overall exams chain: two test systems for making and taking digital and on-paper tests two systems for securing student laptops during digital tests and one proctoring system. These systems are integrated and require careful management and cooperation with many different stakeholders.

What you will do

As a Functional Manager Assessment Tools you play a crucial role in professionalizing application management and examination processes and ensuring its continuity. You make an important contribution to a future-proof and scalable exam chain.

As a Functional Manager Assessment Tools you will:

• Set up standardize and optimize exam processes
• Assess and supervise changes and releases of the assessment systems
• Ensure stable and scalable operation of the exam chain
• Translate information from the various assessment systems into useful insights for education or educational support
• Collaborate a lot with end users educational support other LIS services and suppliers
• Translate educational needs into concrete assignments for technical administrators and suppliers
• Contribute to the further growth and adoption of digital exams within TU/e

Job Requirements

• HBO work and thinking level with at least 1 to 3 years of work experience
• Professional written and spoken communication skills in Dutch and English
• Proactive and pragmatic work attitude both independently and in a team
• You quickly master new technology and are a technical sparring partner for colleagues and suppliers
• Easy-going personality that seeks out collaboration
• Analytical ability to understand processes and systems
• Experience in working with APIs
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop or programming is a plus

• A monthly salary of minimum 3382- to maximum 5057- for full-time employment depending on your knowledge and experience (salary scale 8-9 in accordance with the collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities).
