Shape the future of Data at STARK GROUP IT
Are you an experienced Data Architect ready to make a significant impact Do you want to set the direction for enterprise data architecture in a growing international business As our new Data Architect you will help shape how we collect transform and govern data across STARK Group IT. You will work closely with engineers analysts and business stakeholders to design architecture that delivers high-quality reusable data solutions across domains like supply chain sales and finance.
This role is hands-on and collaborative. You will not only design modern data flows and support platform capabilities you will help bridge business needs with technical solutions and make our data ecosystem more coherent secure and future-proof. The job is based in Viby J or Frederiksberg with expected travel between the two locations and up to 20 travel days per year.
Your role in STARK Group IT
As part of our newly established Data Management team you will be a key player to enable our digital transformation programcurrently focused on Denmark with future expansion across the Nordics.
You will work closely with stakeholders and business/data analysts to understand how our data translates to business processes how best to visualize that and make it discoverable via our Enterprise Data Catalog.
By ensuring the right information is available for decision-making and upskilling our stakeholders you will help STARK become a truly data-driven organization making a lasting impact on our business operations.
What you will deliver
To succeed and thrive in this role you will:
Be the driver and ambassador of STARK Data Models our common data models for all STARK Group businesses
Establish and lead the path of Data Governance and data modelling best practices across the organization
Set the direction and capabilities of our Enterprise Data Catalog enabling discoverability of data across all our platforms and ensuring adoption and ease of use
Promote adherence to data management practices by guiding stakeholders in understanding their roles and responsibilities - enabling better decisions reuse and long-term maintainability
Utilize tools such as Azure DevOps Databricks and Open Metadata to ensure smooth collaboration between technical and business teams
What You Bring
To make a real difference in this role you are someone who combines solid architectural insight with strong collaboration skills. You thrive in an agile environment and possess a strong analytical mindset and can bridge business needs with technical solutions. To succeed in this role you bring:
Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role with a strong background in data modelling database design governance and data management.
Proficiency in data modeling tools database management systems (e.g. SQL NoSQL) and data integration technologies.
Familiarity with cloud-based data environments (preferably Azure)
Strong communication skills and the ability to bridge business and technical needs in an agile setup
Experience with data governance metadata and lineage is a plus
Experience with one or more business domains (e.g. Supply Chain Sales Finance) is a plus
Likely hold a relevant degree in Computer Science Data Science or Information Technology or a related field
