We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Windows Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing daily system monitoring handling support tickets applying system patches and assisting with vulnerability management tasks. Monitoring and Operations:
oMonitor system performance logs and alerts to ensure high availability and optimal performance of Windows environments.
oRespond to and resolve Level 1 and Level 2 tickets related to Windows systems escalating issues when necessary.
Patching and Maintenance:
oAssist with planning and applying Windows security patches and updates using standard tools (e.g. WSUS SCCM).
oEnsure systems are compliant with internal security policies and patch schedules.
Vulnerability Management:
oSupport vulnerability scanning processes and help prioritize remediation based on severity and business impact.
oWork with the security team to track and remediate vulnerabilities within defined SLAs.
Documentation and Reporting:
oMaintain up-to-date system documentation runbooks and inventory records.
oGenerate reports for monitoring patch compliance and vulnerability tracking.
Education:
oBachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Technical Skills:
oBasic understanding of Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022).
oFamiliarity with Active Directory Group Policy DNS and DHCP.
oExposure to patch management tools (e.g. WSUS SCCM) is a plus.
oKnowledge of ITSM/ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow BCM).
Soft Skills:
oStrong attention to detail and commitment to documentation.
oAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
oWillingness to learn and take initiative in problem-solving.
Certifications (Optional but Preferred):
oMicrosoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals or similar.
