Job Description
Accounting Clerk
Intertek is searching for anAccounting Clerkto join our team in Mississauga ON (working from home). This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Finance!
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for Coordinating the process of issuing clients invoices.
What youll do:
Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers
Maintains and updates customer files including name or address changes mergers or mailing attentions
Research customer discrepancies and past due amounts with the assistance of the collection team and other colleagues
Investigates OPE (Out of Pocket Expenses) and collaborate with the audit staff as needed to ensure timely expense submission
Assists in reconciling Phoenix billing to operational (iEnable) back-end system
Maintain AR records to ensure aging is up to date credits and collections are applied uncollectable amounts are accounted for and differences are cleared
Prepare analysis relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how invoicing efforts are progressing
Support other accounting and finance team members as well as operations counterparts when needed
What it takes to be successful in this role:
College degree in accounting or business administration
3 to 6 month experience in an accounting department
Technically adept with intermediate skills in MS Office Suite; experience with an ERP is an asset
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to process a high volume of transactions ability to work in a fast pace environment and adapt to changes
High attention to details with the ability to recognize discrepancies and work with a high degree of accuracy with minimal supervision
Ability to follow and understand processes and controls
