We are seeking Lead FP&A professionals to join our expanding finance team of over 400 members at GE Vernova in Hungary. Our Hungary Finance Team engages in a broad range of activities across eight functions: FP&A Controllership Supply Chain Finance IT Tax Statutory and VAT. This diversity provides an excellent opportunity to leverage potential synergies and become part of a prestigious global finance organization. Our HUB is located at Vci Greens in Budapest.

Job Description
What youll do
- Responsible for providing comprehensive financial planning analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making. This role involves collaborating with senior management to develop financial strategies forecasts and budgets and providing insights that drive the companys financial performance.
- Responsible for managing the business cycle- 3 year plan budget forecasts at each level of the organization. Define KPIs to measure the performance in all areas of the organization- mfg. R&D eng supply commissioning. Analyze the performance and propose action plans to improve profitability and cash generation as well as corrective action plans as needed.
- Drive quarter closes and ensure timely accurate and complete results reporting
- Impacts projects processes and procedures in own field. The role operates with some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Activities require professional judgment but may require more senior levels of guidance.
- Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
- A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills. Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered. Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
- Identify LEAN projects to drive standard work and continuous improvement of analytics through automation.
What youll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelors degree In Accounting or Finance supporting strong fundamental accounting skills
- Experience in closing analysing and forecasting in a multiple legal entity environment
- Experience with core financial systems and processes (GL transaction registers journal entries)
- Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (oral and written) interacting with multiple levels across the organization
- Fluent English AND Hungarian knowledge
- Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information different or unexpected circumstances and/or to work in ambiguous situations
- Strong excel and power point skills
- Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas.
